The Marion County Auditor encourages all Marion County homeowners who have purchased or refinanced their residences prior to March 1, 2006 to file for property tax deductions.
This year's official filing deadline is Saturday, June 10th, therefore all deductions will be accepted through Monday, June 12, 2006.
If you are a new owner, filed a deed, or re-financed your mortgage between March 2, 2005 and March 1, 2006 you may need to file for Homestead and Mortgage property tax deductions.
