Councillor Evans to Host Town Hall Meeting for Public Safety

Indianapolis – Councillor José Evans will host a town hall meeting to discuss public safety in Pike Township on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. a the Pecar Health Center at 6940 N. Michigan Road.  Also attending the meeting will be Public Safety Director, Scott Newman and Metro Northwest District, Major Paul Ciesielski.  

The topics of the meeting will include an update on crime in the area, information on how to contact the Public Safety Department and changes that have occurred since the police department has been moved under the Mayor's Office.  There will also be a panel to take questions from the audience.

Councillor Evans said, "I feel it is important to hold a town hall meeting to discuss the critical issues facing our neighborhoods.  The citizens of Pike Township have shown a commitment to making sure our neighborhoods continue to be places we want to raise our children."
