Council President Monroe Gray Announces changes for the July Council Meeting

Indianapolis – President Gray moved the July 9, 2007 Council meeting to Monday, July 23, 2007 at 7:00 P.M.

President Gray stated, “The change in meeting dates will give the Councillors more time to review the tax rates and options that are available to the Council prior to the 2008 budget hearings that begin in August. The July 9, 2007 Council meeting does not allow enough time for review since the next meeting would be the introduction of 2008 budget.”

The Department of Local Government Finance traditionally issues tax rate information during the first week of July.
