President Gray Requests Investigation By Ethics Board
Indianapolis - President Gray has requested and will submit a written request to the City Ethics Board on March 27, 2007 seeking a decision on the allegations made by the Indianapolis Star and repeated by Councillor Borst that he violated Chapter 293, the Ethics Code for the City and the County.
Councillor Gray said, “No one has requested an official opinion, acting instead on gossip, rumor and a headline or two. If these individuals seriously believed that there was a legitimate concern, they would have filed a complaint with the Ethics Board which has been in existence since 1975.”
He added, “We must always strive to provide our constituents with factual information and not ever consciously misuse the offices of the Council or its proceedings.”
