Adopt a Median
The Department of Public Works coordinates the Adopt a Median program through a cooperative contract relationship with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful (KIB). Adopt a Median provides our citizens and visitors with more attractive medians by offering those who live and work near medians the opportunity to maintain the median as they would their own property. Because businesses and individuals provide the service in trade for a small sign recognizing their contribution, the cost to the City is considerably less than if tax dollars are used to provide the maintenance.
