DPW helps to build the talent of local minority business firms

INDIANAPOLIS -- Prime contractors and minority- and women-owned businesses have less than one week to reserve their spot at the Indianapolis Department of Public Works MBE/WBE Business Development Program third quarter meeting.

Details for the third quarter breakfast meeting are:

WHEN:           Wednesday, August 8, 2007

8 to 10 a.m. (breakfast begins at 8; meeting begins at 8:30)

WHERE:         Madame Walker Theatre Center, fourth floor

617 Indiana Avenue, Indianapolis

Prime contractors and MBE/WBE firms should RSVP to Joyce Walton at 327-8119 or jwalton@indygov.org. Space is limited.

This meeting is a great opportunity for MBE/WBE firms to network with prime contractors and to learn more about upcoming DPW projects. In addition, DPW will announce the third ‘STAR of the Quarter,’ an award presented to a team that successfully participated in a DPW project that met the commitments of the mayor’s MBE/WBE initiative.
