DPW will collect trash on President’s Day, Monday, February 19

City government offices are closed;
Business as usual for curbside trash and recycling collection

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Department of Public Works would like to remind residents that curbside trash and recycling collection will operate on a regular schedule next week despite the city’s observance of President’s Day.

 As a general rule, trash collection is delayed for only a handful of observed holidays each year: New Years Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Trash collection resumes its normal schedule with no delays for holidays, such as President’s Day.

 Residents are reminded to place their trash and recyclables at the curb or in the alley no later than 7:00 a.m. on their appointed collection day. Problems with weekly trash collection should be reported to the Mayor’s Action Center at 327-4MAC (4622). For more information, please visit www.indygov.org/dpw.
