Mayor, students to welcome winter at SnowPlowPalooza 2007
INDIANAPOLIS – Please join Mayor Bart Peterson, the Indianapolis Department of Public Works and more than 800 Marion County students and teachers as they celebrate SnowPlowPalooza 2007 on Tuesday, October 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis.
The city will be showcasing 78 snow plow blades painted by local students from 59 schools in the theme ‘Diversity Works.’ Blades were judged by Indianapolis Department of Public Works’ staff last week and each school will be recognized for their artwork at Tuesday’s event.
In addition to the snow plow blade showcase, several community organizations will be providing educational games and activities. Event sponsors include Radio Disney, Papa John’s Pizza and Coca-Cola.
