Citizen input encouraged to design a viable recycling program
INDIANAPOLIS - In an effort to help 'green' Marion County, the city's Recycle Indianapolis program announced today that it will host eight additional Town Hall Meetings to broaden the discussion about the state of recycling in our community.
During each meeting, residents will be asked to share their ideas on how to increase participation in the city's recycling programs with representatives from the city of Indianapolis, Department of Public Works, Keep Indianapols Beautiful and the Indiana Recycling Coalition. The Town Hall Meetings are open to the public and free of charge.
Meeting times and locations are as follows:
Thursday, Jan. 25 Monday, Feb. 5 Pike Government Center Franklin Civic League 5665 Lafayette Road 8822 Southeastern Ave. 7-8 p.m. 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Monday, March 5 Wayne Township Emergency Service Center 402 N. High School Road 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Recycle Indianapolis is an initiative designed to broaden recycling participation in Indianapolis through increased awareness and education by promoting ease of use, waste reduction and environmental responsibility through personal neighborhood and city-wide opportunities. Recycle Indianapolis includes all recycling programs including ToxDrops, eCycles, leaf collection, white goods and curbside and drop-off recycling.
