Project Open Market: Environmental Information
The city of Indianapolis recognizes that there are a number of older homes and buildings in the construction area and will make sure that the contractor protects the integrity of these buildings during the project.
Noise during construction
The city will require the contractor to adhere to established ordinances regarding noise during construction. Click here for a copy of the city's noise ordinance.
Building vibrations
The city has taken steps to analyze buildings in the construction zone prior to the start of work. This assures that the contractor takes the greatest care when building the new Washington St. interchange and removing the Market St. ramp.
