Air Board

The Indianapolis Air Pollution Control Board is a nine member board responsibile for enhancing and improving the air quality for the City of Indianapolis and Marion County, Indiana. 

The Board membership is composed from the following professions: A professional engineer, registered in the State of Indiana; A physician, licensed in the State of Indiana; An attorney, admitted to the Indiana Bar; A member knowledgeable in solid waste disposal; A member knowledgeable in fuel technology and combustion; A member knowledgeable in process manufacturing; A member representing industry; A member representing labor; and A member representing the public at large.  Five of the members are appointed by the Mayor of Indianapolis and four are appointed by the City-County Council.  All members serve a four year term.

The Board holds public meetings on the second Thursday of each month.  The meetings are held in Room 107 of the City-County Building at 9:30 a.m.  Copies of the agenda can be requested from our office at 317-327-2234 or through e-mail (contact OES)
