This was originally built as the Broad Ripple Town Hall and Fire Station. The town of Broad Ripple was annexed into the city of Indianapolis on October 4, 1922 and the building became IFD Station # 32.
It is still in use today, as the home of Rescue # 32. This is the oldest station still in use by the Indianapolis Fire Department.
