This station was formerly Washington Township FD Station # 222. On January 1, 2007 the Washington Township FD merged with the Indianapolis Fire Department and this station became Indianapolis FD Station # 4. Currently, Engine # 4, Ladder # 4 and Ambulance # 4 respond from here.
