Dr. Charles Miramonti - Liaison
Dr. Charles Miramonti completed both his residency training in emergency medicine and fellowship training in prehospital care at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Miramonti has been involved in EMS for over seven years. In addition to working as full time faculty at Wishard Memorial Hospital Emergency Department, he currently serves as the Deputy Medical Director for the Wishard Ambulance Service and the Indianapolis Fire Department. Recently, Dr. Miramonti joined Dr. Bartkus as co-director of the IUSM Out of Hospital Care Fellowship. He also continues to serve as director of Tactical EMS for Wishard Ambulance and Indianapolis Fire Department providing services for the Marion County Sheriff and Indianapolis Police Departments' SWAT Teams. Additionally, Dr. Miramonti provides leadership for the Urban Area Security Initiative and Metropolitan Medical Response System grants to develop and implement county-wide strategies for disaster preparedness.
