Jim White - Reserve Coordinator

Jim is a retired member of the Indiana State Police with over twenty years of service as a Trooper, training officer and field supervisor. He commanded the Indianapolis District and was an original member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) where he served for over eleven years of which seven were as the team leader. He concluded his service as the Chief of the Capitol Police Department.

Upon retiring he returned to active duty with the U.S. Army serving as a security planner for the 1993 World University Games, the 1994 World Cup Championships, the 1995 World Rowing Championships, and the 1996 Atlanta Centennial Olympics. At the conclusion of the Olympics he returned to Indiana where he served as the Deputy Director of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy until April of 2002 when he accepted the Deputy Director's position.

In November of 2003 he was recalled to active service by the Army with duty in Iraq as the Director of the Reserve Component Division for the Multi-National Force/Corps-Iraq at Camp Victory in Baghdad. Upon leaving Iraq he served as the Deputy Assistant Commandant of the U.S. Army Field Artillery School at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. On September 30,2005 he retired with over 36 years of military service to accept the Director's position.

He holds a Baccalaureate in Criminal Justice studies from Indiana University and a Masters in Education from Butler University. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College where he studied at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in Boston.

Jim and his wife Barb live in Decatur Township. They are the proud parents of a son Jacob Earl.
