Adopting a Shelter Pet is 'Awesome, Baby!'


INDIANAPOLIS – Take a break from basketball and join Indianapolis Animal Care & Control, Tails a' Waggin' Rescue and other area shelters for a "March Madness," adoption event.

When: Sunday, March 13, 2005
12:00 noon – 5:00 p.m.

Where: Castleton PetSmart
5151 E. 82nd St.

As part of Tails a' Waggin' Rescue's Second Sunday Celebrations, Indianapolis Animal Care & Control, Clinton County Humane Society and the Southside Animal Shelter will have a wide variety of pets available for adoption this Sunday at the Castleton PetSmart.

Enjoy food, free gifts, pet photos and enter for a chance to win fabulous prizes, courtesy of the Indiana Fever. Dogs and cats may be adopted from Indianapolis Animal Care & Control at the event for $60, which includes spay/neuter surgery (prior to the event), identification microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm testing for dogs and feline leukemia/FIV testing for cats.

"We're excited to show off the wonderful dogs and cats we have at the shelter," said Jeff Bennett, administrator of Indianapolis Animal Care & Control. "This event will be a slam dunk."
