INDIANAPOLIS – As the holidays fast approach, we need to remember that this can be a dangerous time of year for our pets. From treats and decorations to plants and gifts, many of the items we associate with the holidays can be harmful or toxic to pets.
To help keep pets safe during this special time of year, Indianapolis Animal Care & Control is offering a free pet first aid class, provided by the American Red Cross:

The goal of pet first aid is to protect both pet owners and their pets from further harm, injury or suffering during emergencies by teaching prompt, effective actions and care that will safeguard the life of an injured pet.
The class is limited to 30 registrants with priority given to first time visitors to Indianapolis Animal Care & Control. All participants will receive a pet first aid kit and resource materials for future reference.
