Training to Train

INDIANAPOLIS –Do you desire an obedient, well-trained dog? We all do, however we often we forget that the success of our students depends on the skills of the teacher. On Saturday, Indianapolis Animal Care & Control continues the summer-long series of free, educational seminars as instructor Warren Patitz offers information on Training ourselves to train our dogs to be the best they can be.

There are many reasons why people want to train their dogs. Some people want to get off to a "good start" and have a way to communicate with their companion. Other people want a dog "to listen" to them, while still others want to fix problem behaviors they are having with their dog. Behavioral training is crucial to a successful pet/owner relationship- training for both the owner and the pet.

Indianapolis Animal Care & Control offers this session with the goal of helping to make the human-animal bond more secure, thus reducing the numbers of pets relinquished each year because of behavioral problems.

This “Patitz on Pets” session will be:

WHEN:   Saturday, August 23rd
1-2pm

WHERE:   Indianapolis Animal Care & Control
2600 S. Harding St.

Warren G. Patitz brings over 20 years of dog instruction experience to Indianapolis Animal Care & Control and is also the author of “Recreational Agility.”
