Adult vs. kitten, male vs. female, nail trimming vs. declawing, indoor vs. outdoor, litterbox issues, benefits of spay/neuter, cat/cat introductions, cat/dog introductions and cats, pregnancy and babies.
This “Patitz on Pets” session will be:
WHEN: Saturday, July 19th 1 - 2:30pm WHERE: Indianapolis Animal Care & Control2600 S. Harding St.
The goal of this training is to keep people and their pets together and to help owners fix common, resolvable problems that are threatening the relationship with their pet. Relinquishment of a pet is a drastic step that many people take in dealing with behavior problems.
According to the National Council on Pet Overpopulation Study & Policy, behavior is one of the top 10 reasons for pet relinquishment to shelters in the United States. A national household survey served as a control group for the relinquishment study to help indicate which characteristics of animals and humans were significant risk factors for failed human/ animal relationships.
