Bow-WOW! It's easy to help

INDIANAPOLIS - Mayor Bart Peterson and Public Safety Director Robert Turner are pleased to announce that Indianapolis Animal Care & Control has enhanced their website in a continued effort to help people help animals.

With the understanding that people are now busier than ever, Indianapolis Animal Care and Control is the first city-county agency to make online donations an option for citizens. This option not only allows you to make a tax deductible donation with your credit card from the comfort of your home or office, but it also enables you to specify the fund to which you want your money to be used. Such funds include building renovations, spay/neuter, community outreach, continuing education and animal supplies.

"I am pleased that Animal Care & Control is continuing to reach out to the residents of Marion County, and beyond, by offering this service," said Mayor Bart Peterson. "The ability to donate online will not only increase fundraising efforts but will also assist in raising the awareness of the shelter and the vitally important role it plays in our community."

With your generous donations, Animal Care & Control will be able to carry on its work of protecting and caring for animals while fostering a high quality of life for the animals and people in our community.
