Indianapolis Animal Care & Control is encouraging all pet owners to foster responsible pet ownership and have their pets microchipped on “Chip Day.”

“Chip Day” is part of a national public awareness campaign formed by the American Humane Association that unites thousands of local shelters, veterinary clinics, animal care and control agencies, and other humane agencies in the common goal of educating pet owners about the benefits of tagging their companion animals.

A microchip is safe, quick and easy lifetime protection that takes just minutes to complete. Should your pet become lost or stolen, any shelter or vet can scan your pet and the microchip identification will assist in your pet being returned to you.

Come chip your pet on “Chip Day” for $10 at Indianapolis Animal Care & Control. A small price to pay for your pet’s safety and well-being.
