Kennel Management

The 15 Senior Animal Care Technicians and 2 Kennel Supervisors at IACC are responsible for the general care of the animals at the shelter. This includes:

  • The cleaning and sanitization of all kennels and cages
  • The feeding of animals
  • The vaccination and medication of animals
  • Microchipping animals
  • Receiving all surrendered animals
  • Euthanasia
  • Customer service, and
  • Temperament testing candidates for adoption

The shleter, located at 2600 S. Harding Street, consists of 466 cages in four dog kennels, two cat rooms, receiving and drop-off.
