DESCRIPTION Check out our open game room with a pool table, foosball table, and PlayStation video games. During the summer we offer an eight week playground program for neighborhood youth. The Indianapolis Parks Foundation is currently fundraising for the Windsor Village Park Revitalization Project, which will include a new family center complete with gymnasium and other amenities for year round recreation. Windsor Village Park Receives Major Community and Corporate Support Toward Revitalization Project
Thanks to the Indianapolis Parks Foundation, more than $1 million in funds and in-kind donations has been raised toward this neighborhood revitalization project.
Project donors include: Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust; The Indianapolis Foundation, A CICF Affiliate; Finish Line Youth Foundation; Indianapolis Power & Light; Irwin Union Bank; Indiana Pacers; Efroymson Fund, A CICF Fund; Synthesis Inc; JPMorgan Chase Foundation; The Dwight Freeney Foundation; REALTORŪ Community Investment Initiative; Citizens Gas & Coke Utility; an anonymous donor; Fifth Third Bank; Guidant Foundation; Printing Partners; Maschmeyer Nurseries; EMH&T; Lynch Harrison and Brumleve, Inc; and several individual contributors.
The project includes a new 12,000 square foot community center with a computer lab, fitness area, game room and gymnasium, as well as a new outdoor basketball court, shelter, and walking trails. These amenities will bring much needed educational, recreational and social programs to all residents.
