Andrew Ramsey Park is featured in the
Pride of the Parks brochure, which highlights those Indy Parks named for influential African-Americans who have contributed to the betterment of Indianapolis and of American society as a whole.
After moving to Indianapolis in 1919, and graduating from Butler University, Andrew Ramsey taught high school and became very active in community affairs.
