2008 Indiana Soccer Showcase

The 2008 Indiana Soccer Showcase is a one-day soccer event developed to display the best collegiate soccer talent in the state. 

Indiana Men's & Women's soccer teams including Indiana University,  Butler University,  IUPUI, St. Joseph's College, Marian College, FC Indiana,  DePauw University, and Indiana Wesleyan University  will participate in competitive matches on April 12, 2008 at Kuntz Memorial Soccer Stadium in Indianapolis.

All proceeds can directly support the Urban Soccer Development Program (USDP) and the Urban Soccer Development League.  The USDP is an Indy Parks & Recreation Program designed to introduce inner-city children to the sport of soccer.

DESCRIPTION
Kuntz Memorial Soccer Stadium is the premier outdoor soccer facility in the city of Indianapolis! Kuntz features two FIFA regulated game fields measuring 120 yards in length and 75 yards in width. Our Championship field seats 5,257 spectators and has bleacher seating on three of the four sides of the pitch. Kuntz provides quality facilities for it's users with four newly renovated player locker rooms, officials room, trainer's facility, press box and a VIP Conference Room which overlooks the Championship Field.

Over the years, Kuntz Memorial Stadium has hosted numerous special events, tournaments, and some of the best soccer teams in the U.S. Events that have utilized the world-class facility include the 1987 Pan American Games, 1996 Snicker/U.S. Youth National Championships, National Amateur Cup Championships, IHSAA State Soccer Championships, World Police and Fire Games Soccer Championships, Butler University / Nike Soccer Festival, Cupo Mexicano Regional Championship, and the Indianapolis / Scarborough Peace Games. In addition to such spectacular events Kuntz Memorial Soccer Stadium has provided a playing surface for some of the best youth, high school, college, and professional teams in the country including; The U.S. Women's National Team, U.S. Men's Olympic Soccer Team, Chicago Fire, Indiana University, Notre Dame, Butler, Purdue, Ball State, Evansville, United States Air Force Academy, Fresno State, and English Premier League, the "Bolton Wanderers." Additional countries who have played at Kuntz include, Iceland and France Olympic Teams.

Kuntz Advisory Council (KAT)
The Council meets the third Tuesday of each month at 11:30am at Kuntz Stadium. This group is dedicated to the well being of the facility and programming needs of our urban youth in soccer related areas. If you would like to join our group, please call 327-7194.
