MULCH
Creating woodchips and mulch for use in the City's parks saves taxpayers thousands of dollars per year. Forestry also provides mulch to other city agencies, and city partners such as KIB and Indianapolis Downtown Incorporated (IDI).
Each year, Indy Parks uses more than 30,000 cubic yards of mulch. The recycling effort provides for more than 60% of the annual cost of mulch.
