POSITION SUMMARY: Position responsible for transcribing detective, defendant and/or witness statements taken by law enforcement officers. The transcriber enters a combination of data and personal information about the persons involved in the report, and transcribes a narrative of events described in defendant and/or witness statements. |

QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in data transcription or clerical support field involving heavy data processing. Any combination of related education or experience equal to one year is acceptable. Ability to type a minimum of 55 wpm, excellent grammar/punctuation skills and attention to detail required. Knowledge of Microsoft Word required. Bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
