POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for exercising sound judgement and engineering principles to ensure the quality of municipal storm, sanitary and treatment infrastructure systems. This position also insures all programs are implemented in a quality manner, and all projects are maintained on schedule and within budgetary limits to meet the goals of the Department of Public Works and of the City of Indianapolis.

QUALIFICATIONS: The position requires extensive knowledge of City codes, policies, and ordinances as they relate to municipal infrastructure management. This includes, but is not limited to storm water systems, combined and sanitary sewer collection systems, sanitary treatment facilities and other construction related infrastructure systems. Knowledge of the City's long-term control plan and Combined sewer overflow initiatives are a plus. This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills. The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related field, with one (1) year of related work experience. QUALIFICATIONS: BS in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline plus a minimum of 6 years experience in construction project management. Sucessful completion of INDOT construction management and supervision cources and/or APWA construction management cources is desired. Applicant must possess a valid Indiana driver's license. |
