Database/GIS Services
The Database/GIS Services staff coordinates the transformation of the paper files contained in the records of the City into digital format that can be accessed from the Geographic Information System (GIS). This area also supervises the input of rezoning legal descriptions into the GIS system and oversees real-time updates to the Zoning Base Maps.
Past projects include the computerization of the petition intake process and the establishment of a real-time updating process for the zoning base maps.
