Town Hall Meetings

Two sets of town hall meetings were held during the first phase of the update to the comprehensive plan.  The purpose of the first set of meetings was to determine what planning issues are important to the citizens of Marion County.  From this input, eight issue committees were formed.  Each committee explored several planning issues in detail and ultimately produced a report.   The work from the issue committees was then placed into the Community Values Document.

The first phase of the Comprehensive Plan update is called the Community Values Component.  The second set of town hall meetings was held to gather citizens comment on this phase of the update.
