Mayor to tour new housing development serving formerly homeless and low-income residents

Indianapolis – Mayor Bart Peterson will tour the newly completed final phase of Colonial Park, a rehabilitated apartment complex on the city’s near east side that will provide permanent housing and support services for chronically homeless and low-income individuals.

When: TODAY, July 21, 4:30 p.m.

(There will be media availability before the tour, and a resident of Colonial Park will be present to provide his story of finding a home at Colonial Park.)

Where: Colonial Park apartments, 56 S. Linwood

Colonial Park, owned and managed by Partners in Housing Development Corporation, features 106 total units, all of which serve very low-income households or chronically homeless individuals. Support services, such as mental health counseling, job training and healthcare services are also available onsite to assist residents achieve and maintain self-sufficiency.
