Roundtable Discussions

As part of our interest in increasing the opportunity to explore issues that are of concern to Forum members, the Steering Committee will solicit ideas from members and periodically coordinate roundtable discussions. The purpose of these discussions will be to provide a smaller venue for interested individuals to share information and discuss specific strategies.

A roundtable may convene two to four times a year depending on the issue. Potential topics for future roundtable discussions will be discussed at the bi-annual meetings and brief updates from earlier discussions will be presented. Roundtable discussions will be facilitated by a "champion," who will also be part of the Steering Committee. Participation will be open to interested Forum members and other stakeholders.

For example, in an effort to share information on projects and issues relating to home repair in Indianapolis the Forum could establish a "Home Repair Roundtable." The target audience would be interested Forum members, as well as other public and private entities. The purpose would be to raise awareness of all the different entities involved and their activities and, then, to share information about common issues, challenges, and opportunities. Information that is shared also could help direct efforts to areas that are underserved and could help minimize duplication.
