Mayor's Advisory Groups
Under the Housing Forum, the Mayor may appoint advisory groups on an ad hoc basis to provide the City with ideas and strategies for tackling particular housing problems. The groups may consist of specific Housing Forum members and other stakeholders or experts that would contribute to the solutions of the particular issue. Each advisory group would be led by a designated "champion" who is responsible for coordinating the Group, reporting on progress, and participating in Steering Committee meetings. The advisory groups will meet on an as needed basis and the life span of an advisory group will vary depending on the issue. For example, the Mayor is establishing an advisory group on abandoned housing. We anticipate that a member of the Abandoned Housing Advisory Group will provide Forum members with a brief update at the July meeting.
