Advertising Signs

Advertising Signs are signs that advertise any business or entity that is not conducted on the site where the sign is located.  Commonly referred to as billboards, Advertising Signs are reviewed separately from Business Signs and have special regulations. You may refer to the Revised Code of the Consolidated City and County, Chapter 734, Sign Regulations.

Submittal Requirements
  1. Completed Advertising Sign permit application
  2. Property Owner's signature on application or a Letter of Consent from the property owner
  3. Completed, signed, and notarized "Affidavit of Compliance with the Sign Regulations"
  4. An Area Plan (Base Map or other area map drawn to scale) indicating location of proposed sign and nearest advertising signs in all directions
  5. 3 copies of a Detailed Site Plan drawn to scale showing exact location of proposed sign structure
  6. 3 copies of the Legal Description of the site

Advertising Sign submittals may be mailed to our offices to the attention of the Permitting Section.  Upon receipt, we will assign a tracking number to reference for any query into the status of the project.
