Right of Way

The City of Indianapolis regulates all activities conducted in the public right of way, which consists of streets, alleys, and sidewalk areas, by private contractors, utilities and the general public.  Common types of right of way inspections include the inspection of new sewer lines, repairs to old sewer lines, and inspection of complaints from the general public concerning street cuts, improper traffic control, and earthen materials in the right-of-way, i.e.; mud, stones, dirt in the street.
