Summer Youth Program

The Summer Youth Program Fund is the only collaborative fund dedicated to youth programs in the country. It has steadily increased its support for youth-service providers in Marion County since the fund was established in 1995 by The Indianapolis Foundation and Lilly Endowment, Inc.  The City of Indianapolis joins this partnership, along with many other foundations, to help fund small, summer programs for youth.

Grant recipients represent various types of organizations, ranging from churches and area community centers to theaters and parks. These 124 organizations offer a variety of experiences for children and teens to choose from, such as sports, overnight camping, arts, community service, and tutoring.

For more information about summer youth programs in your area call the Marion County Commission on Youth hotline (1-888-4-YOUTH-8) or call (317) 921-1288 to request a summer youth directory. Additional information is also available through the Information and Referral Network helpline at (317) 926-HELP.
