Redevelopment Area Plans

The Division of Planning prepares plans, which include documentation of existing conditions and proposed uses for Redevelopment Areas.

Redevelopment projects are initiated to support Community Development and Economic Development activities. A Redevelopment Team composed of a team, which may be composed of a leader, planner, urban designer, bond counsel, fiscal agent, property manager and legal counsel manage the process. Projects are selected based on need, opportunity, overall positive economic impact, public support and the capability to carry out project activities which can include the provision of economic incentives, loans, grants, rehabilitation, acquisition, relocation, tax abatement, environmental remediation and site improvements.
