Welcome to the Office of Code Enforcement!

OUR MISSION:                                                                                         The mission of the Office of Code Enforcement (OCE) is to improve the
quality of life in the City of Indianapolis through strategic application of civil
code regulation; effective licensing, permitting, inspection, enforcement,
and abatement practices; and local government oversight of property use/safety and maintenance, business, event, professional, and construction industries.

     The Office of Code Enforcement will become a new city department on

WHAT'S COMING UP:

EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 1, 2009, a pre-permit plan review will be required for all Class 1 Structures (commercial, industrial, and multi-family) prior to receiving a building permit (click links below for info).
