Community Events & Sponsorships

August 2001

  • Comcast sponsored the RCA Tennis Championships August 11-19.  August 14 was Comcast Customer Appreciation Night; Comcast customers received $2 off admission by presenting their Comcast bill at the box office.

  • Comcast and Cartoon Network partnered at the Indiana State Fair for Kids' Day, August 14.  Fairgoers were given the opportunity to be photographed at no charge with cartoon character Johnny Bravo as part of the production.

  • Comcast and Time Warner co-hosted a visit by Nickelodeon's Big Help Mobile, August 18 at the Children's Museum.  The event vehicle promotes community volunteerism to kids, with a special emphasis this year on water conservation and protection.
