June 2000

  • Comcast was a corporate sponsor of the Indianan Repertory Theatre's major fundraising event, "The IRT Celebrity Radio Show," held June 3.

  • Comcast representatives attended the Central Indiana Community Foundation's seminar on Indianapolis' growing Hispanic population, held June 8 at the Marrott.

  • Comcast sponsored and attended the Indianapolis Urban League's "Ebony and Ivory Gala," held June 23 at the Roof Ballroom.  Comcast Regional Vice President Don Erickson was an honorary chairperson for the event.

  • Comcast and Animal Planet joined forces for a ZooVenture promotion at the Indianapolis Zoo.  J.D. Roth, host of the popular kids' how ZooVenture on Animal Planet, was in town for six performances at the zoo.  Comcast customers were given a 20% discount on admission for the entire weekend.
