Community Events & Sponsorships

Comcast and ESPN partnered on a booth at Hoops City in the Convention Center during Final Four weekend. Attendees had the opportunity to tape a "Fantasy Sportscenter" newscast at no cost and keep the tape as a souvenir.

Comcast was a Gold Sponsor of the Kommen Race for the Cure, benefiting several local cancer support groups. The annual event drew 22,000 entrants this year, setting a new attendance record.

On April 22, Comcast hosted Nickelodeon Big Help Mobile's visit to Indianapolis. The Big Help Mobile travels the country promoting volunteerism among grade school-aged children. The Big Help Mobile visited Christian Park, and included the planting of a tree followed by a clean up of the park.

Comcast and WRTV Channel 6 hosted a luncheon on April 27 to announce the launch of Newschannel 64, a new 24-hour local news service that will be available to Comcast customers in June.

Comcast and Great American Country hosted a taping of the Top 15 Countdown April 29 at the Country Music Expo, held at the Fairgrounds. A lucky Comcast customer won the opportunity to host the television program with country music artist Trace Adkins. The program will air on GAC next month. |
