Comcast produced and aired a 30 minute program about the 500 Festival. The program, hosted by Neal Moore and featuring Elizabeth Kraft-Meek and Mal Applegate, highlighted various festival events and aired in prime time every night throughout May on Comcast Channel 50.

Comcast produced, distributed and aired a PSA for the Scoliosis association featuring champion billiards player Jeanette Lee.

Comcast and the Game Show Network hosted a talent search for the Extreme Gong Show on May 13 in Greenwood. The winner received and all-expenses paid trip to Los Angeles to appear on Extreme Gong and compete for $10,000 in prizes.

On May 16, Comcast hosted the Food Network's "Cooking Across America" tour at the Adam's Mark Hotel. The tour featured several of the network's on air hosts giving live cooking demonstrations. several area restaurants were present offering free samples from their menus.

On May 29, Comcast and the History Channel sponsored a recognition ceremony at the Family concert at Victory Field. The ceremony recognized the Medal of Honor recipients who were in town as part of the 500 Festival. Sander Vanocur, former broadcast news correspondent and current host of the History Channel's "Movies in Time", emceed the event. |
