Community Events & Sponsorships

December 1999

  • During the week of December 6, Comcast invited local, state, and federal elected officials to visit our office and tape holiday greetings.  The 20 who accepted our invitation were allowed to plug the charity of their choice.  The spots ran on our system Dec. 11-31.

  • Comcast produced the first in a series of 12 public announcements promoting qualities that constitute good character.  Each spot will feature a high-profile individual talking about what a specific character trait means to them.  January's spot features professional golfer Nancy Fitzgerald.  A different spot will air on our system each month throughout the coming year.  This initiative follows the City-County Council's November resolution to establish Indianapolis as a City of Character.
