Comcast purchased a table at the Indiana Black Expo Corporate Luncheon on July 17, 1997.

In conjunction with Black Entertainment Television, Comcast hosted a booth at the Indiana Black Expo on July 19, 1997.

Comcast sponsored a foursome of community leaders at the Lawrence Mayor Tom Schneider Annual Golf Tournament on July 22, 1997.

Comcast was a Silver Level sponsor for the March of Dimes Sports Awards Dinner on July 29, 1997.

Cartoon Network and Comcast partnered for a promotional event on July 31 at Greenwood Mall. Dressed as various cartoon characters, Comcast employees posed for pictures with children, with Cartoon Network Winston Cup stock car serving as the backdrop. Pictures were given to nearly 300 children at no charge.

Comcast donated $10,000 to the White River State Park Commission to help fund the construction of Victory Field. Comcast pledged $50,000 total last year to be paid in five annual installments.

Comcast made a cash donation to the Center for Leadership Development, Inc., a local organization which fosters the development of minority youth in Central Indiana.
