Operator's Incoming Calls Report - May 2007
Under normal operating conditions, telephone answer time by a customer representative, including wait time, shall not exceed thirty seconds when the connection is made. If the call needs to be transferred, transfer time shall not exceed thirty seconds. Under normal operating conditions, the customer will receive a busy signal less than three percent of the time. These standards shall be met no less than ninety percent of the time under normal operating conditions, measured on a quarterly basis (Federal Communications Commission 76.309 (B) (ii) & (iv) Cable Customer Service Obligations).

Excluding conditions beyond the control of the operator, the cable operator will begin working on "service interruptions" promptly and in no event later than 24 hours after the interruption becomes known. The cable operator must begin actions to correct other service problems the next business day after notification of the service problem. The "appointment window" alternatives for installations, service calls, and other installation activities will either be at a specific time or, at maximum, a four-hour time block during normal business hours. Under normal business hours. Under normal operating conditions, the Standard is to be met no less than ninety five percent of the time measured on a quarterly basis (Federal Communications Commission 76.309 (2)(ii)&(iii).

Installation Report - May 2007
Standard installations will be performed within seven business days after an order has been placed. "Standard" installations are those that are located up to 125 feet from the existing distribution system. Under normal operating conditions, the Standard will be met no less than ninety five percent of the time measured on a quarterly basis (Federal Communications Commission/Customer Service Obligations 76.309. (2)(I).

Public Affairs Monthly Report

Community Affairs:

The Division sponsored and hosted the 2007 IPS-VH1-Bright House Networks Concert at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. This concert featured over 700 IPS music students representing the 26 Indianapolis VH1 schools.

The Division was a sponsor of the 2007 Indianapolis Mini Marathon. This event is the kickoff event for the month-long Indianapolis 500 activities. Bright House Networks provides the hard wire connection for race results of the over 35,000 participants. Bright House also wired big screen TVs, an ATM machine, 7 additional tents with modem connections, Wi-Fi access to cover the entire park, as well as a Digital Phone Booth which consists of 15 phones and supported 1,613 calls on race day. This is the 3rd year that Bright House has provided this technology sponsorship for the event.

The Division also hosted a float in the Indianapolis 500 Festival Parade, which is the largest parade in Indiana. This is also the 2nd year that Bright House has had a float and been represented in this parade.

The Division and the History Channel presented a $10,000, Save Our History grant check to the Indiana State Museum during the month. The grant helped to sponsor a Broad Ripple High School oral history student project to examine immigration within student's neighborhoods. Students from various IPS schools were in attendance at the award ceremony, to see the results of the oral research of Indiana immigration presented in a student created play.

The Division was a sponsor and an award presenter at the 2007 Techpoint MIRA Awards. These awards are presented to Techpoint members that have excelled in technology inroads and applications. This year, student Daniel Kent and the Net Literacy program, which is underwritten by BHN, was the recipient of the innovative 2007 Bridge Builder Award.

Al Aldridge was requested as a guest speaker at the Indianapolis Public School #92 for their Annual Career Day festivities. He spoke to the students on the requirements and training for a career in the Media.

The Division sponsored a pizza party for IPS School #51's After School Program. Several members of the Division were in attendance. This party was the final after school session for the 2006/2007 school year.

Members of the Division continue to volunteer with the Indianapolis Public Schools Education Foundation, Gideon's Gate, the Indiana Cable Telecommunications Association, the YMCA, the 100 Black Men, LEAD, Inc., the Indianapolis Chapter, the Coalition of 100 Black Women, and the Indiana Hemophilia Foundation, and IPS School 51.
