-
Met with the Mayor's office and the Parks Department to discuss the possibility of Time Warner sponsoring "Movies in the Park" this summer. American Movie Classics will provide movies. Time Warner will be helping publicize and will provide the big screen and maybe the projector.
-
Provided a Colonial Williamsburg Satellite town meeting for Zionsville Lower Middle School.
Community Affairs:
-
Sponsored the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indian and Western Art New York press conference on April 17th. The press conference announced the winners of the 2001 Eiteljorg Fellowship. Several members of the New York AOL Time Warner family attended for the Division. The Indianapolis Division was given kudos for our involvement in the event. We will continue with the project when the exhibit opens in Indianapolis in the fall at the Eiteljorg.
-
In conjunction with the Division's Marketing Department, Public Affairs assisted with the opening night celebration of our Triple AAA baseball team, the Indianapolis Indians. Time Warner was recognized in signage, and we were able to address the audience about our Road Runner product.
-
Time Warner Cable was a sponsor of the American Heart Association's "CPR Day" in the RCA Dome. Over 600 Indianapolis participated and were trained. Time Warner's name was used on all publicity as well as on electronic signage at the event.
-
Attended the Indiana Juvenile Diabetes Association's annual fundraiser as a guest of the Indiana Telecommunications Association.
-
Assisted the American Legion of Indiana with a video presentation for statewide release. The Division's head end, production facility, and an employee will be included in the video with credit being given to the Division in the film's credits.
-
Al Aldridge, our PR Manager, was recognized at the annual "Beautillion Militare," a 3-month program that teaches inner youth the requirements of adulthood sponsored by the 100 Black Men of Indianapolis. Al was cited for his work as a youth mentor and for using his position at Time Warner to help encourage young people toward media careers. |
