Public Affairs Monthly Report

March 2000

Programming:

  • Provided sponsorship to the IRT by airing 30 second promotional spot for "Othello."

  • Produced a 30 second promotional spot for the Phoenix Theatre's "The Beauty Queen."

  • Produced a 30 second spot for the Edyvean Theatre's production of "Galileo."

  • Tagged a promotional spot for the Ballet International's "1001 Nights."

  • Produced a promotional; spot for the Opera's "Suzanna."

  • Aired a promotional spot for Dance Kaleidoscopes "Carmin Burana."

Education:

  • Karen Kennedy Pierce represented Time Warner at the IPS monthly Education Programming committee meeting.

  • Al Aldridge and Mrs. Pierce represented Time Warner at the Marion County PTA Founder's Day Dinner.

Community:

  • Al Aldridge served as the announcer for the 100 Black men's "African American History Challenge" at Crispus Attucks Middle School.

  • Time Warner participated in the initial planning session for this year's All County Drug Free Rally.

  • Hosted a table at the American Red Cross' Hall of Fame Dinner.

  • Sponsored the Center for Leadership Development's Annual Minority Recognition Dinner.

  • Time Warner participated in Indiana Black Expo's first Annual Meeting at the Walker Theatre.

  • Al Aldridge served as a Hospitality Volunteer for the NCAA Final Four.

  • Co-sponsored a booth at the NCAA Hoop City in which children/attendees could participate in a video-taped sportscast from the ESPN booth.

  • Met with several non-profit groups to coordinate the transfer of Time Warner sponsorships to Comcast.

  • Attended the Arts Council reception for ESPN at the ArtsGarden during the NCAA Finals.
