Public Affairs Monthly Report
September 1995

Provided major sponsorship in cooperation with the Bravo Network for the Indianapolis Arts Council Start With Art Business Luncheon. During the luncheon, Young Audiences of Indiana, received recognition from Bravo as a national finalist in the Arts for Change competition. American Cablevision had sponsored Young Audiences in the competition.

Helped sponsor the grand opening of the Artsgarden in conjunction with the opening of the Circle Centre.

Provided sponsorship for the Indianapolis Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's annual meeting and participated in the Hispanic community's "Fiesta" at the American Legion Mall. American Cablevision's booth features locally produced Hispanic programming with Carmen Hansen Rivera.

Participated in the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce's corporate meeting on the need for businesses to support the Indianapolis Arts Community.

Provided sponsorship for the Methodist Hospital HealthNet fund raising event... Grand Bazaar India.

Participated in the Indiana Cities and Towns Association annual meeting by helping sponsor an evening reception as well as developing a video taped presentation about cable television.

PR Manager Al Aldridge chaired the annual meeting Hemophilia of Indiana.

Hosted a recognition dinner for 50 resident members of the Maple-Fall Creek Neighborhood Association who have marched every Friday evening throughout the summer to rid the area of drug dealers and "crack houses." Council representatives Elwood Black and Susan Williams participated in the recognition.

Presented a Cable Communications seminar featuring Cable in the Classroom and the cable industry's Critical Viewing Skills Workshop materials to the PTA at IPS School #20.

Two American Cablevision employees as well as the President of the State PTA completed training as presenters of the cable industry's "Critical Viewing Skills Workshop." |
