Public Affairs Monthly Report
July 1995

American Cablevision provided significant support and sponsorship to numerous events at Indiana Black Expo's Summer Celebration. ACI donated the video production of a Salute to Jerry Harkness for the Volunteer Breakfast; sponsored the President's Reception at which Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck greeted guests and encouraged them to test their skills on the Sega Channel which was featured at the event as well as American's two convention booths located in both the RCA Dome and on the exhibit floor; provided support for the Corporate Luncheon; worked with BET to produce live national programming from the convention center; and in cooperation with WAV TV-53, produced and cablecast 12.5 hours of live programming featuring local citizens, expo staff and directors, and numerous participants in the summer celebration events. American was also a major corporate sponsor of the StarQuest Talent Competition.

American Cablevision also participated in numerous other community activities including Hemophilia Family Day, the Cologne Sister Cities Concert and Reception at the Athenaeum, the 100 Black Men's Awards Night, the Leukemia Society's Gelatin Splash, the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce's Business Agenda Reception at the Circle Theatre, and the Police Community Day at Washington Park.

Announced to the Arts Council that American Cablevision has received notification that one of American's three local nominations for the Bravo Network's Arts for Change Awards has been selected as a national finalist and will be recognized at the Start With Arts Luncheon September 5th. |
