Public Affairs Monthly Report

Produced 1/2 hour special "Fredric Douglas and Friends" featuring Father Bonafice Hardin from Martin University.

Assisted the United Way by placing bill stuffers in cable bills. The bill stuffers encouraged subscribers to contribute to the Winter Heating Assistance Program for the Needy.

Distributed the second volume of "Voices of Triumph" to enhance the multi-cultural curriculum of IPS high schools and middle schools. In conjunction with the book distribution, we developed Black History video spots in cooperation with participating schools. Each spot features an Indianapolis Public School student and is played-back throughout the month on American Cablevision's local organization channel WTWE-Cable Channel 20.

Installed cable service at the Catholic Center so that Cable in the Classroom Programs and other cable programming of interest to the Archdiocese could be more conveniently viewed.

Provided major sponsorship to the Indianapolis Humane Society for it's 1994 Critter Cotillion Fund Raising Event.

American Cablevision employees volunteered their weekend time to judge video and poster entries in this year's Project EXCEL Competition for high school students.

Provided IPS Elementary School #11 Student Council with a field trip to our local organization production studios to watch the production of a live show and to meet and interview Actress Shirley Jones.
